TEATRO ANATÓMICO

No ano passado fui convidada pela Marta de Menezes, fundadora da Ectopia-Lab para fazer uma Residência Artística em parceria com o GIMM (Instituto Gulbenkian de Medicina Molecular). No final da residência haverá uma exposição no Coliseu dos Recreios de Lisboa com as obras dos diversos artistas convidados revelando o resultado desta colaboração entre a arte e a ciência.

Para o meu projecto pretendo assumir esta grande sala de espectáculos como um corpo e trabalhar sob o tema da RUGA - a beleza de envelhecer. Nesse sentido, durante a primeira visita ao Coliseu recolhi alguns traços e marcas que testemunham essa passagem do tempo.

Last year, I was invited by Marta de Menezes, founder of Ectopia-Lab, to undertake an ArtisticResidency in partnership with the Gulbenkian Institute of Molecular Medicine (GIMM). The residency will lead to an exhibition at Lisbon’s Coliseu dos Recreios, where various invited artists will showcase the results of this collaboration between art and science.

For my project, I intend to treat this wonderful performance hall as a body, exploring the theme of WRINKLE - the beauty of getting old. With this in mind, during my first visit to the Coliseu, I collected some traces and marks that bear witness to the passage of time.
